Maureen Denise McCormick was born on 5 August 1956, in Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. She was raised by an aunt who worked as a housewife and a father who was a teacher. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick has always loved performing, dancing and creating puppet shows. Following her win in her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 year old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see whether McCormick was interested in getting involved in the industry of entertainment. McCormick got her first job as a leading actress in 1964. McCormick was in an advertisement for Mattels' newest doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she appeared in another commercial for the companys Chatty Cathy doll and was shortly cast in the musical the play Wind It up until It Breaks at the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was one of 1200 children to play the eldest daughter to be a part of The Brady Bunch. The sitcom starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed, newlyweds who had the same family as a blended one. The series lasted 5 years. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008, McCormick disclosed that during the 5th season of the TV show, she was close to losing her their virginity to twin brother Barry Williams. In the moment, she was just 16 years old and he was 19. The woman said it might have been possible, but we never had the right time to do it.
